After their triumphant return last year from a lengthy hiatus with the release of “Sucker Punch!” on Kivel Records, and their celebrated appearance at Melodicrock Fest 3, Adriangale is back, better than ever and maintaining forward momentum with their latest album “Defiance”, which will be released October 3 in conjunction with their appearance at Melodicrock Fest 4.
No strangers to the melodic rock genre, Adriangale have built up a loyal following since their first album “Feel The Fire” in 2000, consistently presenting quality, memorable albums in a style which they can truly call their own. The chemistry and bond between lead vocalist Jamie Rowe, guitarist/principal songwriter Vic Rivera and guitarist Eddie Campbell is genuine and - more so than ever - this unity and strength is eminently present and assertive on Defiance.
As the leadoff single “Sometimes” has demonstrated, Defiance marks yet another forward and logical step in the evolution of Adriangale’s sound. “We’ve always blended heaviness with melody”, says Vic Rivera, “but this time around, we really wanted to further explore the heavier side of ourselves without losing the hooks we’ve come to be known for. It can be difficult to make significant forward movement without totally abandoning your past, but I was up for the challenge in crafting these songs to be the best, most honest version of ourselves while maintaining our identity - and I believe we were successful in capturing that and more on this album.”
A seamless combination of intense and heavy riffs, extremely melodic vocals, superb musicianship and stunning production, Defiance is undoubtedly Adriangale’s finest moment to date and is destined to become a favorite of melodic rock lovers everywhere, appealing to fans of the band both old and new!
