Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of URIAH HEEP’s newest live album entitled “Live at Koko, London 2014” on February 20th 2015 in Europe and February 24th in North America.
In January 2011, the band returned to the studio to record “Into the Wild” and the band once again returned to the road for a worldwide tour. Playing to nearly 150,000 people, in Eastern Europe, Australia, Japan, and America and playing in 58 different countries in total. On March 4th 2014, Uriah Heep played in front of their “home” audience in London and performed an amazing show which was recorded in HD for a release in Double cd/dvd and, for the first time, on Blu-Ray.
“Recording a live DVD in London at Koko's was just fantastic. Our fans travelled from all over the world to be there, and be part of this magic night,” says Mick Box. “This added so much to the atmosphere, and thankfully it was captured on camera. We debuted two songs from our new CD, 'Outsider,' that night, and the reaction was just incredible, proving that we have the best fans in the world.”
Originally founded by vocalist David Byron and guitarist Mick Box, Uriah Heep has been through an incredible number of permutations, with Mick Box always at the helm. Long standing keyboard player Phil Lanzon and vocalist Bernie Shaw were recruited nearly 30 years ago in 1986. Drummer Russell Gilbrook who has now been with the band 7 years, has recorded studio albums “Wake the Sleeper”, “Into the Wild” & “Outsider”. “Wake the Sleeper” heralded an exciting new phase for the band, taking Heep’s classic sound right into the future. The band celebrated its 40th anniversary with an aptly titled greatest hits re-recordings album called “Celebration”. Dave Rimmer, who had been standing in for Trevor Bolder (ex-David Bowie's Spiders From Mars), continues as the bassist, with the band’s diary for the foreseeable future as full as ever.

Jeff explains, ''I've been in the game for a long time but my roots started more on the heavier side of the tracks, I thought it was about time I came home to visit the family and stick around for a while!''.
The band is comprised of Jeff's most current solo band, who he insisted on making this musical merge with him. Jorge Salan (lead guitar), BJ (keys, guitars), David Z (bass) and Edu Cominato (drums). Soto adds, ''These guys come from different parts of the world and bring their own influence to make this band very special. From the US to Europe to South America, we have an exciting mix of style and prestige that keeps us all on our toes''.
Jeff adds, ''The past 5 or more years have propelled me a plethora of anger and frustration, I'm actually quite pissed off about a lot of things, SOTO is my outlet to release some of this pent up emotion. We realize there are a lot of folks young and old who may be sharing these thoughts so this is especially for them too. We're not reinventing the wheel here, we're just creating an outlet for where our hearts are both musically and mentally…I’m just not in a 'touch your golden hair' mood right now!''.
Songs like “Break”, “The Fall”, “Wrath”, “Narcissistically Yours” and “Final Say” are perfect vehicles of raw emotion. Songs like “When I'm Older”, “Karma’s Kiss”, to the title track “Inside The Vertigo” and the 9+ minute epic “End Of Days” advocate a modern day reality/wake-up call.
Produced by Jeff Scott Soto, the album features tracks co-written with his bandmates as well as a of his famous friends/colleagues. Collaborators include guitarists Gus G (Firewind, Ozzy), Jason Bieler (Saigon Kick), Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob) and Joel Hoekstra (Night Ranger/TSO), all of whom perform on their penned tracks for the album. Others appearing as guests/co-writers are Casey Grillo (Kamelot), Connor Engstrom, Tony Dickinson, Leo Mancini, Hugo Mariutti and Gary Schutt.
The album was recorded during the latter months of 2013 and mixed/mastered in Boston by Soto's long time engineer and friend John Ellis. ''Everyone from John to my amazing co-writers to some of my bandmates, especially Edu who was extremely instrumental on helping me stay on course musically, get overall credit for creating this album. I oversaw it as a whole knowing the vision I wanted to capture but I truly had a lot of help from my bros that appear on this masterpiece!'' exclaims Soto.
The release of the album intentionally coincides with the birth date of JSS’s fallen colleague and dear friend Marcel Jacob of Talisman. RIP.

After four years without releasing any new music, the moment fans have eagerly been waiting for is very close. Angra's new album “Secret Garden” shows the band in top form.
Pre-produced by legendary producer Roy Z (Judas Priest, Bruce Dickinson, Halford) and recorded and produced in Sweden by the talented Jens Bogren (Kreator, Arch Enemy, Opeth, Dragonforce), “Secret Garden” brings together everything that has established Angra as one of biggest bands in its style: contemporary sound combined with inspired compositions.
The album will be released on January 16th, 2015 on earMUSIC.
“Secret Garden” shows the maturity of a band that, after 23 years on the road, continues with the same motivation and passion for music that drove the glorious beginning of the group. The compositions mend together elements that made the band known around the world, foregrounding the unity of seemingly distinct styles and combining in a unique way styles such as rock - in its various forms, classical music and Brazilian music.
“Secret Garden” is yet another masterpiece by the group and promises to become a great classic in the metal world. Like almost all of Angra’s work, “Secret Garden” is a concept album which brings up the question: can something that does not exist to the eyes, or is not perceived by the senses, be considered as non-existent?
The songs tell the fictional story of scientist Morten Vrolik who fights to restore his happiness after a tragic accident that took the life of his wife. Faced with the harsh new reality, Morten is forced to revise his atheistic beliefs and values in order to recover a sense of personal contentment that was taken away by fate. The sudden change in his routine, the adaptability, synchronicity, loneliness, guilt, hope and the strength to rise anew are some of the topics discussed in the lyrics, always put to light under different perspectives - be they religious, scientific, philosophical or merely aesthetic.
Angra, the most representative band of the Brazilian power metal scene worldwide, is back with full power. Italian vocalist Fabio Lione embeds the music with his powerful voice and impressive performance whereas young prodigy Bruno Valverde impresses on drums, giving the group a more modern sound.
One of the great strengths of the album is the variety of great guest musicians: Simone Simons from the Dutch band Epica divinely interprets the song "Secret Garden" while the great metal diva Doro Pesch sings an exciting vocal duet with Rafael Bittencourt on "Crushing Room". Actually, the various appearances of Rafael’s lead vocals make for some of the strongest moments on this album, causing a contrast in tone and interpretation in comparison to Fabio. This also becomes evident in the cover that the band chose to record, "Synchronicity II" by The Police.
The front cover and album design cleverly interlace the music and story into a beautiful artwork - created by designer Rodrigo Bastos Didier, representing the dreamlike moments of the album’s story. The entrance to the secret garden, a representation of the unconscious and the whole atmosphere of mystery intend to bring to the fan an experience that transcends merely listening to the songs.

In 2012 Pat Travers Band made a comeback with a new lineup - which saw the return of drummer Sandy Gennaro behind the skins - and a new record “Can Do”, released the following year. A great release which saw Travers and his band playing better than ever! In the tour that lead up to the release of that album, he picked the right venue for this celebration of a new live CD, "Live at the Iridium NYC".
Pat says: “The two shows that we played at the Iridium Club in February 2012 marked the first time I ever really felt totally comfortable and “at home” in “The Big Apple”. The people at the Iridium just made us feel like we were honorary New Yorkers. It was awesome. Having done an extensive European tour at the end of 2011, a Caribbean Cruise Ship gig and a bunch of concerts at the beginning of the year the band was on fire. So being able to record a set at the Iridium in New York City was the perfect venue and time to capture the PTB at their smoking best. We were fortunate to have Jon Paris join us on “Blues Harp” for two classic tunes and he just tore it up and showed us all how the Blues is really done”.
Presenting all the highlights of his career and combining the individual talents with the chemistry of being on the stage, you can feel an energy that is tangible on this recording, an enjoyment that is infectious, and, quite frankly, you owe it to yourself to catch this band whenever and wherever you can.

Issa says: “After 5 years of working together with Tom and James, we had come up with a collection of songs I had to keep for myself.'' One song in particular sees ISSA teaming up with FM vocalist Steve Overland on the dramatic ballad “Raintown”. “This was a dream come true for me,” tells the Norwegian chanteuse. “Steve Overland is probably my favorite male singer and to get him on board was a true honor, his voice suits the song perfectly, wait till you hear this one!”
Other guest musicians stepped up when asked upon to perform solo's include Daniel Palmqvist (XORIGIN), Alessandro Del Vecchio (HARDLINE), Steve Newman (NEWMAN), Robert Sall (WORK OF ART), Daniel Johansson (DEGREED), Stephen Chesney. As well as powerhouse choir including Pete Newdeck (IN FAITH/TAINTED NATION), Matt Black (FAHRAN) and Michael Kew (VEGA).

Throughout the album Danny Bowes’ vocals showcase just why he is one of the greatest rock vocalists of his generation; a true foil to guitarist Luke Morley’s powerhouse riffs, scintillating melodies and delicate acoustic strumming.
Though making a good recovery from the tonsil cancer that excluded him from the band’s recent live appearances, rhythm guitarist Ben Matthews has been sadly absent from the sessions so Morley has taken charge of all the guitars and keyboards on the album, with the ever-present Garry ‘Harry’ James on drums and long-term bassist Chris Childs on bass providing the striking rhythmic back-bone to the band.
Recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, with Luke Morley reprising his role as producer, the album was mixed by the renowned Mike Fraser, whose CV includes such names as Aerosmith, AC/DC and Metallica and who worked on several of the group’s key early records including their celebrated debut, ‘Back Street Symphony’.
Thunder hit the road in March with dates in Leeds, Birmingham and London, with Reef and Tax The Heat as support.

Frontiers Music Srl, is pleased to announce the release of a new exciting album written and performed by the two Norwegian Rock Stars Jorn Lande and Trond Holter entitled DRACULA “Swing of Death on January 23rd in Europe and January 27th in North America.
This exciting concept album was inspired by the life of Count Vlad the III, Prince of Wallachia, widely known as Vlad, The Impaler or by his patronymic name Vlad Dracul(a). The whole story explores the inner struggle inside the multifaceted and engorging character that this mysterious 15th Century personality was, while also taking into account some of the metaphysical aspects that passed into literature, forming the whole basis of the vampire mythos.
Jorn Lande – who impersonates Dracula, is the main character of the album and the female parts are sung by Norwegian singer Lena Fløitmoen (representing Mina/Lucy from the Bram Stoker book). The drama of the story reveals Dracula’s inner battle, where he still remembers what true love was, and as he wandered the Earth for centuries with a thirst for blood, his loneliness and desire to be able to love again has led him to the brink of insanity. In the original Bram Stoker version, he leaves Transylvania by ship and when he meets Lucy's best friend, she reminds him so much of his first love Mina, that he becomes obsessed. His mission is to take her as his bride, and make her Queen of the dark.
Musically, “Swing of Death” is not like a typical rock opera or musical, since it has no storyteller or too many long instrumental parts and intros. It is an album that gets to the point with no detours and even if it exposes some diverse musical landscapes, it does include catchy and melodic songs with commercial radio potential. Vocally this release gives you everything from Jorn Lande’s past extensive catalogue all in one album. Jorn’s ability to be innovative and original while at the same time showing where his roots came from, is truly unique.
Jorn and Trond’s musical influence when creating this epic masterpiece came mostly from 70’s era Meat Loaf, Queen, Alice Cooper, plus some other Classic and more contemporary Hard Rock elements. All mixed together with their own modern musical heavy rock style, Dracula “Swing of death” is something extraordinary. The lyrics are not limited to the old days of Bram Stoker’s era and could easily be a Dracula story of today.

LEVEL 10 was born out of a collaboration between American powerhouse singer Russell Allen (SYMPHONY X, ADRENALINE MOB, ALLEN LANDE) and the iconic German producer/bassist Mat Sinner (PRIMAL FEAR, SINNER). The pair met a few times during the years and swore to each other to find the time to work together. That occasion finally came about when Frontiers President, Serafino Perugino managed to connect with the two and get them committed to the creation of a new Metal album which could meld the more contemporary and aggro sound of Adrenaline Mob with the more traditional European Power Metal assault of Primal Fear.
Sinner quickly put together a killer lineup for the album, including his Primal Fear cohorts Randy Black (on drums) and Alex Beyrodt (on guitar) and called Roland Grapow (ex-Helloween) and Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, Voodoo Circle) to complete the lineup on lead guitar and keyboards respectively. On the songwriting side – besides the band members – the album also sees contributions from Magnus Karlsson, Carsten Schulz, Sander Gommans and Amanda Somerville.
While the actual recording took a long time due to the “day job” commitments from the various musicians involved in this release, the result is an outstanding and super heavy – yet infectiously melodic - album! With Allen’s over-the-top vocals and a powerful lineup second to none, the resulting album is – from start to finish a true delight for all heavy metal fans!
“The target was to write and record a traditional and powerful heavy rock album with some of the best players in this genre” says Sinner. “The result is just amazing. Russell’s voice is in a fantastic shape, kick ass songs and I’m really proud of the album!”.

Joining them on this new musical adventure is bassist James Lomenzo and drummer Brian Tichy. The band will be releasing their debut album Only To Rise on January 23rd 2015 in Europe and January 27th, 2015 in North America via Frontiers Music Srl. "When I was approached to help put together an all-star lineup, instantly I thought of George Lynch,” explains Michael Sweet. “George is one of the
most talented guitarists out there and a ‘bucket list’ player for me. George wrote riffs/basic ideas and I wrote melodies, lyrics and arranged and completed the songs. I knew that we would compliment each other's style. When you add the amazing rhythm section of Brian Tichy and James Lomenzo, you just can't go wrong with this line-up. It really is a special project and I'm honored to be a part of it!"

Genesis - Misunderstanding (Three Sides Live)
"Three Sides Live” was filmed in November 1981 on the “Abacab” tour in North America. Originally released on VHS to coincide with the live album of the same name. Originally filmed in 16mm, the footage has now been fully restored and is being reissued. The show focuses on tracks from the “Duke” and “Abacab” albums and the tracks are intercut with behind the scenes footage and interviews with the band members. As ever with Genesis, the show is visually stunning and it captures the band in their transition from their progressive days in the seventies through to the hugely successful pop/rock act they became from the mid-eighties onwards. British melodic rockers VEGA are back with their third studio album “Stereo Messiah” coming out on Frontiers on October 17th in Europe and October 21st in North America.
The new album marks the band’s return to the Frontiers label, after the release of their debut album “Kiss of Life” in December 2010. The new recording features 12 songs that literally rock from start to finish and will leave you wanting more! It also includes a song entitled “10 X Bigger than Love” which Def Leppard singer, Joe Elliott gave the band. He also appears dueting with singer Nick Workman on the song.
“Stereo Messiah” was recorded over 14 days in two sessions. The hard work was completed at Outhouse Studio’s in Reading, home to It Bites front-man John Mitchell. John worked with the band as the obligatory 6th member and helped VEGA achieve their most accomplished album to date. Once the album was recorded, John completed the mixing process and then passed the bat on to Harem Scarem’s Harry Hess, who mastered the album at his studio in Canada.
“Stereo Messiah” truly sees the band taking their song writing and performance to the next level.

2014 marks the 40th anniversary of the release of Rush’s eponymous debut album in 1974. This superb collector’s box set brings together live performances by Rush from each decade of their career. It includes “Rush In Rio”, “R30”, “Snakes & Arrows Live”, “Time Machine 2011: Live In Cleveland” and “Clockwork Angels Tour” plus a bonus disc of previously unseen and unreleased live material stretching from 1974 to 2013.
To the delight of fans, the bonus disc will include all 8 songs from the Laura Secord Secondary School show in 1974 which features original drummer John Rutsey. That recording includes 2 Rush originals “I’ve Been Runnin;” and “The Loser”, as well as their cover of Larry William’s “Bad Boy”, made famous by The Beatles. The bonus discus also features 5 songs from songs from the Capitol Theatre in 1976 such as “Anthem” and “Lakeside Park”, the rarely performed full, 7-part version of “2112” filmed in 1997, “Lock and Key” from the Hold Your Fire tour, as well as footage from the glorious evening when Rush fans got their beloved band inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Rush are renowned for the energy and excitement of their live concerts and this set brings together some of their finest performances. The 10 DVD (or 6 Blu-ray) discs are contained in a stunning 52 page hardback book measuring 305mm x 225mm with the 10 discs contained in 5 additional rigid insert pages each holding two discs. “Sum Of The Parts” is the official authorised story of Genesis made with the full co-operation of the band members. It tells of the band’s formation at Charterhouse (where Tony Banks, Peter Gabriel and Mike Rutherford were all pupils) in the late sixties and the release of their debut album “From Genesis To Revelation”. The story then moves on through the departure of founder member Anthony Phillips and the arrival of Phil Collins and Steve Hackett in 1970 to form the 5-man line-up that established the band’s career with albums such as “Foxtrot” and “The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway”. Peter Gabriel’s departure in 1975 and then Steve Hackett’s in 1977 led to the release of the album “And Then There Were Three…” and a move towards shorter, more immediate songs. The eighties and nineties were triumphant decades for Genesis with hugely successful hit albums and singles around the world such as “Genesis”, “Invisible Touch” and “We Can’t Dance”. BAILEY is the new solo project masterminded by THREE LIONS frontman Nigel Bailey. Although a relatively new name on the scene, Nigel has a vast experience as both a songwriter and performer. His deal with Frontiers served to bring to light his shining talent both as a powerful vocalist and also as a songwriter. Brand new compositions along with some material written over the years have been combined to complete an exciting solo debut. “I wrote the bulk of the album songs between 2011 and mid 2012” says Nigel. “The plan was to write songs with no particular influences in mind. I have always loved rock music and wrote songs as they came to me. I didn’t have a particular style in mind which is reflected in the various styles on the record.”

Genesis - Turn It On Again (Three Sides Live)
“Three Sides Live” was filmed in November 1981 on the “Abacab” tour in North America. Originally released on VHS to coincide with the live album of the same name. Originally filmed in 16mm, the footage has now been fully restored and is being reissued. The show focuses on tracks from the “Duke” and “Abacab” albums and the tracks are intercut with behind the scenes footage and interviews with the band members. As ever with Genesis, the show is visually stunning and it captures the band in their transition from their progressive days in the seventies through to the hugely successful pop/rock act they became from the mid-eighties onwards. Genesis have always been great live performers and “Three Sides Live” is a great addition to any fans collection.

Just like every Rock band does at some point in their career, CRAZY LIXX thought it was the right time to release their Self-Titled album: the kind of album that really does the band’s name justice and that shows everyone what the band and their music is really all about. This is that album for Sweden’s CRAZY LIXX!
Says lead singer and producer Danny Rexon, “We were discussing possible titles for the album and we didn’t really feel like any of the suggestions were quite right. Then I came up with the idea of a making it a self-titled
album and we all agreed this was the right time for one. You know, bearing the very name of the band, a self-titled album does have a lot to live up to, but we all felt that this album has what it takes to represent the band as a whole, both in terms of the songs, the sound and the performance.”
With their new album, CRAZY LIXX show their growth as a band by sinking their teeth into 11 anthemic rock songs that will satisfy both the hardcore Lixx fans, as well as all fans of melodic hard rock and hair metal in general. By combining the strategies of recording and producing the album themselves along with utilizing the mixing skills of the great Chris Laney, the band has once again returned to the bombastic sound of CRAZY LIXX’s earlier work while at the same time adding the improved song-writing and musicianship of today’s CRAZY LIXX.
“We learnt a lot through the years, especially when it comes to the recording process and we put all that knowledge and experience to use on this album. We used many different studio settings to record different parts of the album and did not rush the recording, but made sure everything was as good as it could get. At the same time we did not want to be too nitpicking with details, I mean we’re still in the business of rock n’ roll, right?”, adds guitarist and co-producer of the album Andy Zata.
In addition to returning to the old CRAZY LIXX sound, the band has also re-recorded fan favorite “Heroes are Forever” which was originally on the band’s first, now out of print album. “It’s this one song, that was our first single back in around 2006, that we’ve played on almost every live show we’ve done since then, but when we started to think about it, it was a song that a lot of our fans had no chance to ever listen to. The first album, ‘Loud
Minority’, was released on a minor independent label, in a limited printing which has long since sold out, and it isn’t available digitally either. Still we felt that the track was one of those songs that had a really fundamental CRAZY LIXX vibe to it, so we decided to record it again and give the fans a nice treat. With the addition of Jens Sjöholm and the return of original drummer Joél Cirera, CRAZY LIXX Mk III proved to be the best lineup to date, both in concert and on record. “I think the fans will really enjoy what we’ve got in store for them with this album. Killer songs, great sound and memorable hooks combined with a bit of the twin guitar action and riff-based approach that we added to the sound on our last album,” says guitarist Edd Liam.

Just like every Rock band does at some point in their career, CRAZY LIXX thought it was the right time to release their Self-Titled album: the kind of album that really does the band’s name justice and that shows everyone what the band and their music is really all about. This is that album for Sweden’s CRAZY LIXX!
Says lead singer and producer Danny Rexon, “We were discussing possible titles for the album and we didn’t really feel like any of the suggestions were quite right. Then I came up with the idea of a making it a self-titled
album and we all agreed this was the right time for one. You know, bearing the very name of the band, a self-titled album does have a lot to live up to, but we all felt that this album has what it takes to represent the band as a whole, both in terms of the songs, the sound and the performance.”
With their new album, CRAZY LIXX show their growth as a band by sinking their teeth into 11 anthemic rock songs that will satisfy both the hardcore Lixx fans, as well as all fans of melodic hard rock and hair metal in general. By combining the strategies of recording and producing the album themselves along with utilizing the mixing skills of the great Chris Laney, the band has once again returned to the bombastic sound of CRAZY LIXX’s earlier work while at the same time adding the improved song-writing and musicianship of today’s CRAZY LIXX.
“We learnt a lot through the years, especially when it comes to the recording process and we put all that knowledge and experience to use on this album. We used many different studio settings to record different parts of the album and did not rush the recording, but made sure everything was as good as it could get. At the same time we did not want to be too nitpicking with details, I mean we’re still in the business of rock n’ roll, right?”, adds guitarist and co-producer of the album Andy Zata.
In addition to returning to the old CRAZY LIXX sound, the band has also re-recorded fan favorite “Heroes are Forever” which was originally on the band’s first, now out of print album. “It’s this one song, that was our first single back in around 2006, that we’ve played on almost every live show we’ve done since then, but when we started to think about it, it was a song that a lot of our fans had no chance to ever listen to. The first album, ‘Loud
Minority’, was released on a minor independent label, in a limited printing which has long since sold out, and it isn’t available digitally either. Still we felt that the track was one of those songs that had a really fundamental CRAZY LIXX vibe to it, so we decided to record it again and give the fans a nice treat. On April 4, 2014, some of the best-loved musicians in the world assembled at the Royal Albert Hall to pay tribute to one of the most-missed musicians of them all: Jon Lord. “Celebrating Jon Lord” will be released as 1CD – The Composer, 2CD – The Rock Legend, 2DVD, Blu-ray, Box Set and Download on September 26th, 2014 on earMUSIC.

The Box Set features – besides the Blu-ray, 1CD The Composer and 2CD The Rock Legend – an exclusive T-shirt, a two-sided reproduction of an excerpt of Jon Lord’s original, handwritten music score for “Sarabande” - signed by Paul Mann as well as a 20 page reproduction of the evening’s original show program.
On top and as a real collector’s item, the box set also includes two very special 7-inch vinyls: the first featuring the hypnotic live version of Deep Purple’s classic “You Keep On Moving” with Glenn Hughes, Bruce Dickinson, Ian Paice, Don Airey and Micky Moody and on the B-side “Soldier Of Fortune”, both taken from the 2CD – The Rock Legend.
The second 7-inch vinyl stands in the tradition of Deep Purple as it includes the band’s touching live version of “Above And Beyond” originally from the no 1 album “NOW What?!” and here included in the magic Sunflower Jam 2014 live performance – a song dedicated to and inspired by Jon Lord. The B-side is dedicated to Lord‘s “Fantasia”.
Divided in two parts – the first focused on the classical music compositions, so dear to Jon Lord, and the second featuring a crescendo of emotions going through some of his highlights as a rock musician – the concert gave fans a chance to relive Jon Lord's remarkable and extensive musical career, remembering music from Paice, Ashton Lord, Deep Purple, his later classical compositions and everything in between – all in aid for the charity organization The Sunflower Jam.
The 83-piece Orion Orchestra performed, conducted by Paul Mann and accompanied by bands and artists such as Deep Purple, Paul Weller, Glenn Hughes, Bruce Dickinson, Rick Wakeman, Joe Brown, Miller Anderson, Steve Balsamo and many, many more.
