April 11th, 2014 sees the release of the long awaited new studio album 'Tearing Down The Walls' by Swedish rock band H.E.A.T via earMUSIC.
Once again the band decided the move into the infamous Bohus studio with Grammy award winning producer Tobias Lindell and created an explosive, fresh sound.
The first sneak peak of the album is the lead single 'A Shot At Redemption'. It confirms all that H.E.A.T showed before and more: a catchy hookline, a driven beat, the obligatory guitar solo and the raw, beyond comparison vocals of singer Erik Grönwall.
'A Shot At Redemption' will be released as part of a 4-track CD single, a 10" vinyl and download on February 14th, 2014 via earMUSIC. Both physical releases will surely become rare collector's items, being made available in strictly limited quantities.
Added on top to the 'A Shot At Redemption'-EP are the previously unreleased 'Under Your Skin', a goosebumps worthy acoustic version of H.E.A.T's 'In And Out Of Trouble' and a sensual cover of one of the greatest ballads, 'She's Like The Wind'.
Four songs to enjoy the energetic and explosive side of H.E.A.T and their great talent for ballads, to ease the wait for the very anticipated new studio album.

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of L.R.S. debut album "Down to the Core" on March 21st in Europe and March 25th in North America.
L.R.S. stands for the new Melodic Rock musical alliance between singer Tommy La Verdi (21 Guns), guitarist Josh Ramos (The Storm, Hardline) and drummer Michael Shotton (Von Groove, irtime). Started initially as a way to bring back to the public the amazing vocal talent of Tommy LaVerdi, a singer which came to the attention of the fans on the fabulous 21 GUNS debut album "Salute" in 1992, the whole project morphed into a power band trio when two other well known musicians: guitar player Josh Ramos and drummer Michael Shotton were brought into the picture by the album producer Alessandro Del Vecchio (HARDLINE).
The writing sessions were fast and steady, with Del Vecchio managing all contributions from the band members -- who lived in different places - and offering a number of his own writings and co-writings to the band, which was anyway able to develop a distinctive Melodic Rock sound in the tradition of JOURNEY / THE STORM, with hints of Canadian AOR - think mid 80's TRIUMPH. Recording sessions happened for the most part in Somma Lombardo, Italy during the spring of 2013, with the musicians getting along extremely well and creating a spontaneous camaraderie which contributed a lot to the success of the sessions.
"I respected a lot both Josh and Michael before starting the album and it was actually very sad to leave each other
after we finished recording and filming the videos" said Tommy La Verdi, while Michael Shotton added "It was like we had been playing in a band for years!". "I had the opportunity to try different styles and moods and incorporate elements of my past musical experiences in The Storm and Hardline -- I was very glad to be involved in this", concludes Josh Ramos.
The resulting album" Down to the Core" is now finally ready to be unleashed to the public. With soaring vocals from LaVerdi, a superb vocalist who comes back into the well deserved spotlight and some exquisite guitar playing from Ramos, this is an album not to be missed and an AOR highlight for early 2014!

Gillan were a hugely successful hard rock band in the early eighties fronted by legendary Deep Purple vocalist Ian Gillan. Their career ran from 1979 to 1982 during which time they released 5 albums all of which charted Top 20 in the UK and had a string of successful singles. This concert was filmed as part of BBC's "Rock Goes To College" series at Oxford Polytechnic on the 2nd February 1981 following their "Glory Road" album (which went to No.3) and just before the release of "Future Shock" (which went to No.2).

On June 7th, Europe took the stage in their home country Sweden for a very special occasion: celebrating 30 years of rock music. The Swedish rock band celebrated this event together with 30,000 people at the famous Sweden Rock Festival, playing a total selection of 28 songs, picking their personal favourite moments spanning from their earlier years up to their most recent songs taken from albums like "Last Look At Eden" and "Bag Of Bones"; for the lovers of statistics and rarities some of the songs had never been played live before.
The bombastic greatest hits show also has its soulful moment when the band sits down for an emotional acoustic set which gives the massive arena show a club feeling before the band goes back to the hard rock they are known for.
To pay tribute to some of their biggest heroes, Europe invited two very special guests to perform with them: Scott Gorham (Thin Lizzy) for an electrifying version of 'Jailbreak' and Michael Schenker (MSG, ex UFO and Scorpions) for one of hard rock's evergreens, UFO's classic 'Lights Out'.
The set list is full of treasures and surprises but Europe were determined to celebrated and enjoy their long record of hit singles: like 'Carrie', 'Rock The Night', 'Superstitious', ´Open Your Heart´, 'Last Look At Eden', ´Prisoners in Paradise´, 'New Love In Town' and, of course, the ever-present and always electrifying 'The Final Countdown'.

Scorpions - Hurricane (Moment Of Glory)
This DVD features the concert from the Scorpions home city of Hanover that was the climax of EXPO2000. The legendary German rock band, with worldwide album sales in excess of 75 million, perform live on stage with the perhaps even more legendary Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Christian Kolonovits. The concert was a recreation of their "Moment Of Glory" album, also recorded with the BPO, which took their classic tracks and gave them a full orchestral backing.
