British melodic rockers VEGA are back with their third studio album “Stereo Messiah” coming out on Frontiers on October 17th in Europe and October 21st in North America.
The new album marks the band’s return to the Frontiers label, after the release of their debut album “Kiss of Life” in December 2010. The new recording features 12 songs that literally rock from start to finish and will leave you wanting more! It also includes a song entitled “10 X Bigger than Love” which Def Leppard singer, Joe Elliott gave the band. He also appears dueting with singer Nick Workman on the song.
“Stereo Messiah” was recorded over 14 days in two sessions. The hard work was completed at Outhouse Studio’s in Reading, home to It Bites front-man John Mitchell. John worked with the band as the obligatory 6th member and helped VEGA achieve their most accomplished album to date. Once the album was recorded, John completed the mixing process and then passed the bat on to Harem Scarem’s Harry Hess, who mastered the album at his studio in Canada.
“Stereo Messiah” truly sees the band taking their song writing and performance to the next level.

2014 marks the 40th anniversary of the release of Rush’s eponymous debut album in 1974. This superb collector’s box set brings together live performances by Rush from each decade of their career. It includes “Rush In Rio”, “R30”, “Snakes & Arrows Live”, “Time Machine 2011: Live In Cleveland” and “Clockwork Angels Tour” plus a bonus disc of previously unseen and unreleased live material stretching from 1974 to 2013.
To the delight of fans, the bonus disc will include all 8 songs from the Laura Secord Secondary School show in 1974 which features original drummer John Rutsey. That recording includes 2 Rush originals “I’ve Been Runnin;” and “The Loser”, as well as their cover of Larry William’s “Bad Boy”, made famous by The Beatles. The bonus discus also features 5 songs from songs from the Capitol Theatre in 1976 such as “Anthem” and “Lakeside Park”, the rarely performed full, 7-part version of “2112” filmed in 1997, “Lock and Key” from the Hold Your Fire tour, as well as footage from the glorious evening when Rush fans got their beloved band inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Rush are renowned for the energy and excitement of their live concerts and this set brings together some of their finest performances. The 10 DVD (or 6 Blu-ray) discs are contained in a stunning 52 page hardback book measuring 305mm x 225mm with the 10 discs contained in 5 additional rigid insert pages each holding two discs. The 52 pages of the book are filled with memorabilia and photographs documenting 40 years of Rush live in concert. This is the ultimate collection of Rush live performances, beautifully presented.

“Sum Of The Parts” is the official authorised story of Genesis made with the full co-operation of the band members. It tells of the band’s formation at Charterhouse (where Tony Banks, Peter Gabriel and Mike Rutherford were all pupils) in the late sixties and the release of their debut album “From Genesis To Revelation”. The story then moves on through the departure of founder member Anthony Phillips and the arrival of Phil Collins and Steve Hackett in 1970 to form the 5-man line-up that established the band’s career with albums such as “Foxtrot” and “The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway”. Peter Gabriel’s departure in 1975 and then Steve Hackett’s in 1977 led to the release of the album “And Then There Were Three…” and a move towards shorter, more immediate songs. The eighties and nineties were triumphant decades for Genesis with hugely successful hit albums and singles around the world such as “Genesis”, “Invisible Touch” and “We Can’t Dance”. At the same time as they were recording and performing with Genesis, Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford (as Mike & The Mechanics) were all enjoying successful solo careers, as were departed members Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett. “Sum Of The Parts” explores the dynamics of the group that has enabled them to survive changes of line-up, see their musical direction steadily evolve and maintain both group and solo careers along with their enduring popularity as evidenced by their hugely successful 2007 reunion tour.

BAILEY is the new solo project masterminded by THREE LIONS frontman Nigel Bailey. Although a relatively new name on the scene, Nigel has a vast experience as both a songwriter and performer. His deal with Frontiers served to bring to light his shining talent both as a powerful vocalist and also as a songwriter. Brand new compositions along with some material written over the years have been combined to complete an exciting solo debut. “I wrote the bulk of the album songs between 2011 and mid 2012” says Nigel. “The plan was to write songs with no particular influences in mind. I have always loved rock music and wrote songs as they came to me. I didn’t have a particular style in mind which is reflected in the various styles on the record.”
With some similarities to THREE LIONS in terms of influences, BAILEY is slightly heavier and more varied in its approach whilst still maintaining the edge and the trademark melodies of Classic British Hard Rock tradition. “If pushed, I would say that In The Name Of The King, Long Way Down and Stay are my personal favourites and show the variety in my writing and vocal style” tells Nigel. This record will be a surprise for many and an absolute must for all British Melodic Hard Rock fans!

2014 is the 30th Anniversary of the Whitesnake album ‘SLIDE IT IN’. The first multi-platinum album Whitesnake achieved. It features songs we still play all over the World...‘Love Ain’t No Stranger’ ( Cozy Powell’s favorite )...‘Guilty Of Love’...‘Slow & Easy’...& of course ‘Slide It In’.
This ‘LIVE IN 84...Back To The Bone’ DVD-CD package features video footage & selected bootleg audio tracks, all taken from performances from our world tour 30 years ago in 1984.
It’s still hard for me to find the words when remembering that half the incredible band who recorded the ‘SLIDE IT IN’ album with me have passed away.
Incredibly difficult to articulate... Cozy Powell...Mel Galley...Jon Lord...Amazing people...amazing musicians...Their memories live on in our hearts & in the music they made. I miss them beyond words…
Wait until you see & hear them playing as only they can & add in the fiery guitar assault of the incredibly gifted John Sykes...plus the relentless melodic bass pounding of Neil Murray…
Watching the videos & listening to the live performances takes me right back to the time I was on stage with this super group...
For this is a time capsule to indulge in, even if you missed the action the first time around & if you did catch any of the shows back in the day, you can relive it now in all it’s sonic glory.
A truly great chapter of the band... One of my all time favorite chapters of Whitesnake.
My Co-Producer Michael McIntyre & I searched the world for decent video footage & audio from any of the 1984 shows & came up with ‘Super-Rock’, recorded at the first Japanese rock festival at Seibu Stadium in Tokyo & a precious, invaluable video of Maestro Jon Lord’s final appearance with Whitesnake.
All of the features on this package have been treated lovingly & respectfully, with no expense spared, utilizing technology to improve sound & picture quality.
In other words, it should look & sound f’ing great!!
Some of the Special Features include never before seen or heard tracks, demos, photos...
These are memories I treasure & delight in sharing with you as we continue our Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of WHITESNAKE ‘SLIDE IT IN’...
