Dennis DeYoung - …And The Music Of Styx Live in Los Angeles EPK (Official)

DENNIS DeYOUNG AND THE MUSIC OF STYX LIVE IN LOS ANGELES, Deluxe CD/ DVD combination will feature the greatest songs DeYoung originally recorded with STYX.

Powerful. Majestic. Compelling.

These are some of the words that have described the unforgettable live performances given by singer / songwriter / keyboardist Dennis DeYoung. Now in 2014, the nearly five decade musical legacy of DeYoung has come full circle. Frontiers Music Srl will release on October 17th in Europe and 21st in North America Dennis DeYoung And The Music Of STYX Live In Los Angeles in 2CD/DVD, Blu-ray and digital formats, encompassing the greatest hits of STYX sung once again by the voice who made them famous.

Recorded and filmed for this special CD/DVD release and for an October US TV live concert special, these classic STYX songs were captured before an enthusiastic audience at the intimate El Rey Theater in Los Angeles on March 18th, 2014.

“If you are a STYX fan this DVD CD package covers all the hits in one great concert experience,” says deYoung, who wrote and sang nearly all of that legendary band’s radio hits, as well as a number of solo hits. “The intimate setting of the historic El Rey theater was the perfect venue to see me and the band up close rockin’ these tunes.”

Captured with 8 cameras in Hi Def, the show features DeYoung performing the band’s catalog of classic rock hits that became a staple on radio during the 1970s and 80s. Among them:  “Lady”, “Renegade”, “Blue Collar Man”, “Show Me The Way”, “Mr. Roboto”, “Too Much Time On My Hands”, “Babe”, “Best Of Times”,“Come Sail Away” and many others. DeYoung, who began playing with the members of STYX in the early 1960s as a band called The Tradewinds, changed its name, wrote and sang the band’s  breakthrough single, “Lady” in 1972. The group would go on to have over a dozen gold and platinum albums over the next twenty years. DeYoung left STYX in 1999. In addition to his success with STYX, DeYoung wrote and recorded several solo projects and did an album of Broadway standards, after touring as Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar.

“To have this band and these songs on a Blu-Ray, DVD and two CD set is a dream come true,” says DeYoung. “I have to thank AXS Tv in the US and Frontiers in Italy for this special opportunity.”

New album “Between The Stars” of the multi-platinum alternative rock band due out on October 31st, 2014 on earMUSIC under exclusive license to Loud & Proud Records

Produced by Don Gilmore  (Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne, Pearl Jam, Bullet For My Valentine)

Music comes to life when it must. It lies dormant and then blossoms in its creator at just the right moment. For Flyleaf, that was  definitely the case when they began making their fourth full-length album. “Between The Stars” will be released on October 31st, 2014 on earMUSIC under exclusive license to Loud & Proud Records.

You could chalk it up to serendipity, but it simply feels meant to be. Seizing that spirit, the band — Kristen May [vocals], Sameer Bhattacharya [guitar], Jared Hartmann [guitar], Pat Seals [bass], and James Culpepper [drums] — immediately thrust themselves into the creative process. The lyrics and Kristen's delivery matched the heavy, hypnotic soundscapes that the band conjured up in the studio. Everything solidified into a clear and cohesive vision.

Flyleaf sought out the production talents of the iconic Don Gilmore [Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Avril Lavigne], holing up in a Los Angeles studio with him for a month during the spring of 2014. With Gilmore behind the board, they captured a certain "magic" that proved both passionate and palpable.

Kristen explains, “It’s about the passion we feel when we first fall in love and our emotions are running high, along with our thirst for this great life and all it has to offer. There is so much beauty, excitement and hope in this world and when we collide with one another and fall in love, magic happens. I hope everyone turns this song up to  eleven, and sings at the top of their lungs.”

The fans have been with Flyleaf for the entire ride, beginning over a decade ago. Along the way, their self-titled debut went platinum and yielded the hit "All Around Me," which also moved over one million digital downloads. The record spent 133 weeks in the Billboard Top 200, climbing to the Top 15 of the Rock Albums and Alternative Albums charts as well. Its follow-up, “Memento Mori”, saw the group crack the Top 10 of the Billboard Top 200. They've touched down  for shows everywhere from Afghanistan, where they played for the troops, to sold out gigs around the U.S. alongside everybody from Rage Against The Machine to Deftones to Cage The Elephant.

Ultimately, that audience remains closer to the musicians' hearts than ever before.  “This album is a reminder that we're alive,”  Sameer declares. “Embrace life now. That's a recurring theme since our inception. We want people to know they're alive, they're loved, and there's hope. That's what we want to share."

Kristen concludes, "I hope it's an album people can listen to for years to come. We put our hearts and souls into it, and I want them to  hear that."

Dalton - Pit Stop samples (New Studio Album / 2014)

Swedish Melodic Rockers DALTON return after a 25 years break with their brand new album “Pit Stop” coming out on Frontiers Music Srl on October 17th in Europe and October 21st in North America.

Together with Europe and Treat, for a few years in the late 80’s, DALTON was a force to be reckoned with in Sweden. They enjoyed successful touring, teen media coverage, TV appearances and a string of radio hits. Even world stars such as Bon Jovi and Michael Bolton provided original songs to their two albums.

The band, formed by ex-Treat drummer Mats Dahlberg and named after his nickname, went all in with the current trends in melodic hair metal. Their image was cutting edge with designer outfits and  enough hair spray every night to challenge the average user’s yearly consumption. The band was killed by grunge in the early 90´s, a destiny shared by many bands of the 80´s.

“I left the band because I wanted a harder edge while the rest of the guys wanted to go softer”, Mats explains. He formed the short lived band Speedy Gonzales with guitarist Tommy Denander and Therion-singer Thomas Vikström, but the project folded before it took off.  The rest of the Dalton members continued with a replacement drummer, but shortly called it a day. Dalton was left behind in the pit stop, dried out of gas.

25 years after their debut album “The Race Is On”, the original members came back with a vengeance and a reunion filmed for TV. “That’s how it started”, Mats explains. “A producer called me and asked if we would reunite and if they could film it for a documentary. I thought it was a joke”. “So did I”, Bosse laughs, “but it was true - and from the first rehearsal it was like time had stood still. It was so much fun!”

Old hits were polished to shine and the success at premiere gig when opening for THE SCORPIONS in Sweden in December 2012 was a  fact. “That night back in December ignited the fuse, we all felt the same”, says Bosse – “let’s get the Dalton wheels in motion again. We want to celebrate the legacy of the 80’s rock scene by putting out a new album and take it on tour. Just like we did back in the days”.

Loaded with inspiration and dedication the band went through demos made for the never recorded third album along with some newly written songs. They ended up with 11 pure excellent tracks crafted for a 80’s flavored Melodic Rock album in a contemporary suit, recorded in good company with magic minded producer Erik MÃ¥rtensson (Eclipse, W.E.T.).

A first shimmering taste of the songs from album was revealed at  the Frontiers Rock Festival where the band premiered the track “Hey You” in front of an ecstatic crowd. DALTON is fueled up and back on the race track, ready to go – the race is on!

“Pit Stop” will include the following tracks: Ready Or Not; Hey You; Don't Tell Me Lies; Follow Your Dreams; Up & Down; Bad Love; One Voice; Here We Are; Something For The Pain; 50/50; TGIF.

British melodic rockers VEGA are back with their third studio album “Stereo Messiah” coming out on Frontiers on October 17th in  Europe and October 21st in North America.

The new album marks the band’s return to the Frontiers label, after the release of their debut album “Kiss of Life” in December 2010. The new recording features 12 songs that literally rock from start to finish and will leave you wanting more! It also includes a song  entitled “10 X Bigger than Love” which Def Leppard singer, Joe Elliott gave the band. He also appears dueting with singer Nick Workman on the song.

“Stereo Messiah” was recorded over 14 days in two sessions. The hard work was completed at Outhouse Studio’s in Reading, home to It Bites front-man John Mitchell. John worked with the band as the obligatory 6th member and helped VEGA achieve their most accomplished album to date. “Stereo Messiah” truly sees the band taking their song writing and performance to the next level.

X-Drive - California (Official / 2014)

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of X-DRIVE's debut album entitled "Get Your Rock On" on August 22nd in Europe and August 26th in North America.

X-DRIVE is a new band centered around guitar player Jeremy  Brunner, an Oregon transplant, who -- on the heels of his songwriting skills managed to put together an impressive debut with an affinity for catchy riffs, insightful lyrics and huge choruses.

Some of the best in Los Angeles have joined the ranks of X-DRIVE, including bassist James Lomenzo (White Lion, Megadeth, Black Label Society), singer Keith St. John (Burning Rain, Lynch Mob, Montrose) and to round out the project hard-hitting drummer Fred Fischer from Midline. Then legendary producer Andy Johns, the former Led Zeppelin engineer, was able to finish the X-DRIVE tracks just before his tragic death in 2013.

"It was such a pleasure to contribute to Jeremy's effort! He has written and crafted an incredible homage to the style of 80's rock, a style that I cut my teeth on back in the day," Lomenzo said. "His love for the era and style really comes through in a surprisingly satisfying way."

"Writing with Brunner was an absolute pleasure," St. John said. "On the whole, the vehicle for his musical canvasses has been a breath of fresh air in directness and simplicity. I found myself patently inspired to fashion my parts for this collection of songs that was Jeremy's own refreshing take on the '80s."

"Get Your Rock On" was mixed by Wyn Davis (Black Sabbath, Dio, Whitesnake, Dokken), and it took more than a year in the studio to make things just the way Brunner wanted, as the guitarist is a bit of a mastermind perfectionist. But it was definitely worth the wait! The X-DRIVE debut positively rocks from beginning to end.
