Stratovarius "Unbreakable" Official Video from the album "Nemesis"
Stratovarius are hailed as one of the most influential and successful Melodic Metal bands in the world and they have managed to establish themselves as one of metal scene's heavy names.
The new album "Nemesis" unites all the best traits of the band's melodic, powerful, fresh and technically elaborated metal, all spiced up with an incredible sense of melody.
The album was produced and mixed by Matias Kupiainen and mastered by Mika Jussila (Finnvox studios) who has a long history with the band.
"Nemesis" has a dark and more modern sound compared to the band's last album "Elysium". It clearly shows how much the band has matured and grown as songwriters. At the same time, the band focused all their attention and work into creating and recording "Nemesis". Singer Timo Kotipelto has spent three weeks recording the vocals in a cottage in the Finnish countryside.
Matias Kupiainen adds: "I have more or less lived in the studio for four months, obsessing over every detail. I feel very relieved that we are done and I am very happy with the material and the sound."
Timo Kotipelto agrees: "Making the album this time was easier because we gave it as much time as it needed. We have worked our asses off to make this and we hope the fans will like it."
Without doubt, the fans will love it! The album has it all. From the typical melodic and powerful Stratovarius sound in "Abandon", to the aggressive and energetic "Stand My Ground", the album represents the new style of the band mixed with good old melodic power metal.
Stratovarius´ musical approach is today wider and richer than ever. The song "Fantasy" sounds almost ABBA-esque with its catchy pop tune, but it´s powered by the famous Stratovarius metal sound, louder than ever.
"Out Of The Fog" integrates some folk music elements, with lyrics telling the story of a young person forced to march blindly into battle.
The only ballad on the album, "If The Story Is Over", is a very emotional song with a grand arrangement that builds up to using the full band and ends with a small female choir.
The title track "Nemesis" is a typical Stratovarius song, with echoes of medieval melodies with powerful double bass drumming and the catchy pop melodies from this side of the millennium.
Says Timo Kotipelto: "The title track of the album; with its modern twist on the myth of Nemesis, it tells a story of a preacher who gives each one what they deserve, good or bad. The song has a very nice riff, cool melodies and a great good old Stratovarius style chorus."

It's more or less done, the wait is over. Finally, the 11th studio album from GAMMA RAY "Empire Of The Undead" is almost* done and ready to go.

"Empire Of The Undead" the fast metal song in the typical GAMMA RAY style that has influenced so many bands around the world, has appeared on the single / EP "Master Of Confusion" an appetizer the band released in 2013, just before touring the world non-stop with "relatives" Helloween.
GAMMA RAY worked on the new album during various sessions in 2013, during and in between their perennial tour with Eike Freese at the mixing desk supporting the ever precious work of bass player and co-writer Dirk Schlaechter.
It was just after landing in South America, that a unbelievable news reached Kai Hansen & co.: Hammer Studio, their home, rehearsal place, studio and meeting point for many metal bands in Germany had been blown away by a terrifying fire-stroke, together with instruments, amps, tapes...
Back in their hometurf the band needed to get an overview about their losses only to do what they do best -- move on! With that usual Kai Hansen smirk look...
Life is too good to stop and moan.
Nearly everything was destroyed, except the tapes of the almost finished new studio album.
"If this could not stop us... nothing ever will" -- joked Kai Hansen - who also added. "We got rid of a lot of shit that we gathered there. Unfortunately a lot of good equipment as well. Anyhow, we look into the future and we saved the production and we can continue now in this new place. By mid January we should be done with the work on this album and it's up to the record company to release it -- sometime in March.
"Empire Of The Undead" will be released as CD, LP, Limited edition CD with extra visual content and a box that features the CD, a shirt and a poster.
The new album follows the success of "To The Metal" which brought GAMMA RAY back in the highest positions of the sales charts worldwide.
Parallel to the album announcement GAMMY RAY are also announcing their spring tour that comes with the album that will take them from Prag to Helsinki and from Athens to Hamburg across the whole European continent.

With a special concert in their hometown Sao Paulo and an incredible live show, Angra celebrated the 20th anniversary of their 1993 debut album "Angels Cry" on August 25th, 2013.
Joined by Fabio Lione (Rhapsody of Fire, Vision Divine, ex-Kamelot) on vocals, the Brazilian melodic metal band performed their debut almost in its entirety, adding on top a couple of fan favourites as well as songs from their most recent recordings for a over 20 songs containing setlist.
"Angels Cry -- 20th Anniversary Tour" will be released on 2CD, DVD and Blu-ray on January 31st, 2014 via earMUSIC.
Project Aegis - Collide & Spark [teaser]
Ulterium Records is proud to announce the release of "Collide & Spark", an all-star charity track for sale with 100% of the income going to The Bridge Bunch, an organization dedicated to serving the homeless population of Nashville, TN, in the United States.
The song, which is almost seven minutes in length, is being released under the banner Project Aegis, and was composed by Theocracy vocalist and songwriter Matt Smith. It features vocals by Nils K. Rue [Pagan's Mind], Henrik Båth [Darkwater], Elin Redin [End of September] and Smith, as well as a guitar solo by Markus Sigfridsson [Darkwater, Harmony].
The artwork was created by Felipe Machado Franco [Blind Guardian, Rhapsody of Fire] and designed by Markus Sigfridsson.

On January 17th, 2013, W.E.T. played an exclusive show at the Debaser Club in Stockholm, Sweden to celebrate the release of their sophomore album, "Rise Up". The show was promoted almost exclusively through a viral web campaign, so that night the faithful and energized crowd's fever for the band, featuring Robert Säll (the "W" from Work of Art), Erik Mårtensson (the "E" from Eclipse) and Jeff Scott Soto (the "T" from Talisman) was incredibly high (despite the cold Swedish winter being in full force). Fans flew in from all over the world and the venue was packed to the rafters when the band hit the stage with their driving number "Walk Away".
W.E.T showcased songs from the then forthcoming album "Rise Up" as well as from the critically acclaimed self-titled 2009 debut album. A truly exquisite performance, where the band played many fan favorites including two Talisman songs, as well as one song each from Eclipse and Work of Art. The Eclipse song was "Bleed & Scream" which was sung by Erik Mårtensson and the Work Of Art song was "The Great Fall" where the band were joined by Lars Säfsund, lead singer of W.O.A.
The resulting album "One Live - In Stockholm" captures a stunning performance and celebrates the birth of W.E.T. as a kick-ass live unit.

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of the anticipated HOUSE OF LORDS brand new studio album entitled "Precious Metal" on February 21st in Europe and February 24th in North America.
"Precious Metal" is HOUSE OF LORDS' ninth studio album, following up the critically acclaimed "Big Money". This brand new release, recorded and produced by the band's singer and mastermind James Christian, again has a stellar sound, with solid and baroque songwriting mixed with unique melodic sensibilities and amazing musical skills.
Musically "Precious Metal" shows a return to the roots of the band's sound. James Christian as usual sings his heart out and he sounds better than ever on these new songs. Guitarist Jimi Bell shines with heavy, but melodic riffs throughout the album, with Chris McCarville and BJ Zampa bringing a solid and powerful rhythm foundation to the House of Lords sound.
In James Christian's words: "When we started to write this record, we knew after the 1st song that we were on to something special. The energy level was off the charts for all of us. Jimi Bell came out swinging and BJ and Chris were just crushing it. Recording this album was very easy as the songs already had arrangements that were complete. Precious Metal is a testament to years of being a band that loves what they do and has so much more to offer in the years to come."
House of Lords debuted in 1989 with the release of the self-titled album, a monumental Arena Hard Rock release which showcased the soaring vocals of James Christian and instrumental capabilities of the band (which featured ex Angel and Giuffria Gregg Giuffria, along with such luminaries as Lanny Cordola, Chuck Wright and Ken Mary), reminiscent of such frontrunners as Whitesnake, Deep Purple and Van Halen, immediately brought the band to the attention of the media and fans. After another 2 albums released until 2002, House of Lords went into hibernation until the original lineup came back together in 2000, releasing of the controversial "Power and the Myth" an album which featured a sound leaning more towards Progressive Hard Rock with 70's rock influences.
After a short European tour, singer James Christian decided to go back to the trademark Arena Rock sound of House Of Lords, putting together a new line-up. Since 2006 the band has a stable line-up featuring Jimi Bell on guitars, B.J. Zampa on drums and Chris McCarvill on bass which has been delivering impressive shows and fine releases such as "World Upside Down, "Come to My Kingdom", "Cartesian Dreams" and the recent "Big Money".

Jake E. Lee is the former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne (on the "Bark at the Moon" and "The Ultimate Sins" albums). After a self-imposed exile from the music industry and the public eye since the demise of Badlands in the mid 90s, Jake is now back with an exciting new rock'n'roll band "Red Dragon Cartel". Their debut eponymous album will be released by Frontiers Records in the UK on Monday January 27th and in North America on Tuesday January 28th, 2014.
The band came about when old friend Ronnie Mancuso helped to coax Jake out of retirement. Ronnie, noted session guitarist/bassist, composer and producer for Beggars & Thieves, was sharing a studio space, "The Hideout" in Las Vegas with super hot producer, engineer and mixer Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie, Hinder, In This Moment).

Frontiers Records is excited to present the world the talents of Swedish singer ANGELICA with the release of her debut album "Thrive" on November 29th in Europe and December 3rd in North America.
Best known for being the singer in The Murder of My Sweet, Angelica Rylin finally decided to pursue her childhood dream and to walk in the footsteps of such amazing singers such as Ann Wilson of Heart, Leigh Matty of Romeo's Daughter or Robin Beck and record her debut solo album in a true Melodic Rock style.
Some Melodic Rock songwriting luminaries answered the call in order to create the magic harmonies and music displayed on Angelica's debut album. "Harry Hess, Daniel Flores, Robert Sall, Alessandro Del Vecchio and Anders Wigelius all contributed", says Angelica and some excellent guitarists such as Jesper Stromblad (In Flames), Magnus Karlsson (Primal Fear), Per Berquist (Smash Into Pieces) also appear on the album. There is also a very special performance by keyboardist Matt Guillory (James LaBrie). Still Angelica wrote or co-wrote several songs on her record, showing another side of her abilities.
"I got the chance to step out of my comfort zone and just focus on being a great singer. I also got to do a couple of amazing co-writes, for instance with Harry Hess of Harem Scarem" continues Angelica "but what I'm most happy about is that I got to include a couple of my own songs too. It's a great mix of classic but modern AOR love songs".
Helped by producer, drummer and songwriting partner Daniel Flores (FIND ME, SEVENTH WONDER; THE MURDER OF MY SWEET), Angelica managed to create a superb album which offers soaring and instantly likeable hook lines, solid guitar riffs and a crisp sound. "After releasing two albums with The Murder of My Sweet I get an opportunity to show my fans a slightly different side of me and at the same time have fun and explore another side of rock music that I grew up with and truly love" tells Angelica. "I have pushed my boundaries vocally on this album and grown as a singer, which is very important for me on a more personal level. I guess this is every singer's dream!"

Place Vendome "Thunder in the Distance".
Following a self imposed exile from the rock and metal scene which lasted a few years after his departure from HELLOWEEN and solo career, Hamburg-based singer Michael Kiske, accepted in 2004 to be part of a Melodic Rock oriented concept put together by Frontiers Records' President Serafino Perugino.
The resulting PLACE VENDOME debut album brought Kiske back to a more straight ahead and Rock sound, still very accessible and melodic and far from the Heavy Metal stereotypes of blood, violence and hate from which Kiske decided to move away from. He collaborated for the first time with PINK CREAM 69's Dennis Ward, Kosta Zafiriou and Uwe Reitenauer with Gunther Werno (VANDENPLAS) on keyboards. In a quite ironic twist of fate Michael found himself to work with members of PINK CREAM 69, when the band's original singer Andy Deris took his place in HELLOWEEN when he left.
The very favorable acceptance of the first PLACE VENDOME album planted the seeds for a second recording entitled "Streets of Fire", which was produced during 2008. The concept was slightly changed, with some outside writers such as Robert Säll (Work of Art), Ronny Milianowicz (Saint Deamon) and Torsti Spoof (Leverage) handling the bulk of the songwriting, with Dennis Ward still handling the recording and production sessions.
Following his stint with the band UNISONIC, Kiske decided to go back to the PLACE VENDOME concept with more melodic rock oriented songs which once again have been selected by Frontiers Records President Serafino Perugino from outside writers including Magnus Karlsson (Primal Fear), Timo Tolkki (ex-Stratovarius), Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline), Roberto Tiranti and Andrea Cantarelli (Labyrinth, A Perfect Day), Tommy Denander (Radioactive), Sören Kronqvist (Sunstorm, Issa), and Brett Jones.
Dennis Ward once again produced and mixed the album with such musicians as Dirk Bruineberg (Consortium Project), Gunter Werno (Vandenplas) and Uwe Reitenauer (Pink Cream 69) completing the lineup. Another total masterpiece from Kiske and Place Vendome is about to hit the market. A true must for all Melodic Rock fans !

Ring Of Fire's story begins in the year 2000. Having completed a successful mini-tour with Yngwie Malmsteen in late 1999 on the heels of the 'Alchemy' album, vocalist Mark Boals set about creating his second solo album, a collection of songs very neo-classical in their nature. When deciding on a line-up for the album, Tony MacAlpine came highly recommended and Tony in turn recommended Virgil Donati (Planet X) on drums. The impressive line-up was rounded out by classically-trained Artension keyboardist Vitalij Kuprij, with Boals and MacAlpine splitting bass duties.
Combining melodic metal songs with fantasy-based lyrics, topped off with virtuoso performances from the line-up, the resulting RING OF FIRE albums proved to be exactly what many neoclassical-metal fans had waited for, creating a solid fan base for the band all over the world.
"Battle of Leningrad" is the band's fourth studio album, coming after a 9 years hiatus -- a period which has seen the band members getting involved in other projects, most notably with singer Mark Boals becoming singer for Royal Hunt and Kuprij and MacAlpine touring with Trans Siberian Orchestra and Steve Vai respectively.
Ring of Fire reconvened with Boals, MacAlpine and Kurprij during 2012, when they agreed to work on their unfinished business and develop a new album from the true story of the siege of Leningrad during the WWII.
Mark Boals explains: "It is a true story of the strength and resilience of the Russian people throughout history and particularly in this instance of 900 days of being surrounded on all sides with no food and no hope of rescue, under siege of the Nazi army. The magnificent city of Leningrad with millions of people trapped, found a way to withstand the daily attacks of rockets and bombs, the lack of food, water, and fuel for heat. Although more than 1 million starved to death, most survived, and the Nazis were never able to overtake the city completely. They were finally forced to retreat by the Russian army. Not widely known by most, this was an amazing story and one of World War II's finest examples of heroism in the worst circumstances imaginable".

"R30" was filmed on Rush's 30th Anniversary tour in 2004 on September 24 at the Festhalle in Frankfurt. The R30 concerts showcased the band's entire career with tracks from the early seventies onwards. The show was originally released worldwide in 2005 and then in HD in North America only in 2009. Eight tracks were cut from the show for the 2005 release. These were then added back in for the North American HD release but this contained no bonus features. Now for the first time we are releasing a HD version which contains the full show and over 2 hours of bonus material that originally featured on a second disc in the 2005 release set to give the most complete version of R30 possible. Out Nov 4th

Powerful Classic Hard Rock with great melodies, served with a healthy dose of Southern Rock, is what you hear when the songs of ROADFEVER's second album "Wolf Pack" are blasting out of your speakers. The female fronted Power Rock band from Switzerland takes you back to the sound of the 80s and successfully manages to raise the already high quality level of their debut "Wheels On Fire" (2009) by presenting a record with a superb state-of-the-art sound of kick-ass Rock songs.
Formed back in 2005 the Swiss four-piece fronted by Stevie "Manou" Pike has established its reputation as an act with an energetic live show. Over the years ROADFEVER has been opening for bands and sharing the same festival stages with bands such as: Blackfoot, Scorpions, Trust, Uli John Roth, Pretty Maids, Rhino Bucket, Eric Singer Project, Little Caesar and more.
David Pariat on guitars, Jessie Be on bass and Pascal Bavaud on drums complete the line-up, whose vital performance and stage presence was documented on the band's DVD "Live in Geneva" (2010). While Stevie is responsible for the lyrics and vocal melodies, David Pariat, former lead guitar player of fellow Swiss Hard Rockers Sideburn, composes and arranges the songs and takes care of the album production, with Phil Risch and Stephan Montinaro as recording engineers.
For the mix and mastering of "Wolf Pack" the band could win German sound wizard Achim Köhler (Sinner, Primal Fear, Voodoo Circle), who put the finishing touches to the songs in his Indiscreet Audio Studio. With Mat Sinner (Sinner, Primal Fear, Voodoo Circle), who sings a duet with Stevie on "Magic Sun" and Oliver Hartmann (Hartmann, Avantasia) supporting her on the anthemic choirs of several tunes, additional assistance for the Swiss neighbours comes from the higher ranks of the German Rock scene.
Together with ROADFEVER's cracking new album "Wolf Pack", the band's previous CD and DVD releases "Wheels On Fire" and "Live in Geneva" respectively, will be available on a wider scale. ROADFEVER is looking forward to present their new songs together with the older favourites in the set of their forthcoming concerts which will commence this winter and with many more shows to follow in 2014 and beyond.

According to respected Dutch newspaper the Volkskrant "The band wrote a chapter of Dutch metal History" this evening. Rock Tribune (Belgium) thought it was "an unforgettable show".
Ten high definition cameras captured this very special sold-out show while Epica played in front of nearly five thousand ecstatic fans in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. 1984 saw the long-awaited reunion of the classic Deep Purple Mark II line-up of Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice. It was the first time they had been together since 1973. They recorded a brand new studio album, "Perfect Strangers" and headed out on tour. This show was filmed in Melbourne, Australia and is the only full length concert film of the band at this time. It's a stunning concert with the band in incendiary form. The setlist mixes then new tracks from the "Perfect Strangers" album with favourites from the early seventies culminating in the brilliant "Smoke On The Water" finale. This is without doubt one of the finest Deep Purple concerts ever filmed and a must have for their legions of fans.

After being decorated with triple platinum status in Finland as well as gold status in numerous European countries (Germany, Switzerland, Poland, among others) for their most current studio masterpiece »Imaginaerum« and following the highly successful release of their very own fantasy motion picture »Imaginaerum by Nightwish«, the band is closing in its cycle of the `Imaginaerum World Tour´ with a festival triple -- Wacken Open Air being the first of those final shows. The `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2013-2013 visited in 34 countries, consisted of 104 shows with total audience attendance of over 1,5 million fans.
And what would be a better way to celebrate the grand finale as to capture the entire show at Wacken Open Air -- the world's biggest heavy metal festival -- for a live DVD/Blu-ray? Frontiers Records is excited to present the world the talents of Swedish singer ANGELICA with the release of her debut album "Thrive" on November 29th in Europe and December 3rd in North America.
Best known for being the singer in The Murder of My Sweet, Angelica Rylin finally decided to pursue her childhood dream and to walk in the footsteps of such amazing singers such as Ann Wilson of Heart, Leigh Matty of Romeo's Daughter or Robin Beck and record her debut solo album in a true Melodic Rock style.
Some Melodic Rock songwriting luminaries answered the call in order to create the magic harmonies and music displayed on Angelica's debut album. "Harry Hess, Daniel Flores, Robert Sall, Alessandro Del Vecchio and Anders Wigelius all contributed", says Angelica and some excellent guitarists such as Jesper Stromblad (In Flames), Magnus Karlsson (Primal Fear), Per Berquist (Smash Into Pieces) also appear on the album. There is also a very special performance by keyboardist Matt Guillory (James LaBrie). Still Angelica wrote or co-wrote several songs on her record, showing another side of her abilities.
"I got the chance to step out of my comfort zone and just focus on being a great singer. I also got to do a couple of amazing co-writes, for instance with Harry Hess of Harem Scarem" continues Angelica "but what I'm most happy about is that I got to include a couple of my own songs too. It's a great mix of classic but modern AOR love songs".
Helped by producer, drummer and songwriting partner Daniel Flores (FIND ME, SEVENTH WONDER; THE MURDER OF MY SWEET), Angelica managed to create a superb album which offers soaring and instantly likeable hook lines, solid guitar riffs and a crisp sound. "After releasing two albums with The Murder of My Sweet I get an opportunity to show my fans a slightly different side of me and at the same time have fun and explore another side of rock music that I grew up with and truly love" tells Angelica. "I have pushed my boundaries vocally on this album and grown as a singer, which is very important for me on a more personal level. I guess this is every singer's dream!"
